Beyond her portfolio of business clients, Diane coaches leaders and teams at Harvard Business School in Boston in their leadership Development Program. She has lectured on Multi-Cultural Leadership at Georgetown University, Leadership and Change management at l’INSEAD/Cedep (Paris), Change & Journey Management at the Global Accenture University (Chicago). As an internal Managing Director, Diane was asked to be a coach and a key speaker at the Accenture Female leadership development Program and Leadership Development Program. 

Internationally minded and a dual citizen (France/USA), Diane holds a Master from l’ESCEM (France), a leadership coaching certification (ICF) from GEORGETOWN University (USA). Her certifications are : Hogan, MBTI level 2, Cohero leadership assessment, Thomas Kilmann Test indicator.  

Located in the French Alps, Diane lives a multicultural life at work and at home as she married to her American husband.  She puts in practice work-life integration in raising her energetic 3 boys while being an internationally successful leader.

Lisa Kwan

SENIOR EXECUTIVE COACH, COLLABORATION CONSULTANT & FACILITATOR

SME: Organizational change & effectiveness, collaboration

Lisa brings to our team 15 years of expertise in cross-group collaboration, leadership, human behavior, and organizational change and performance. Lisa obtained her joint PhD from Harvard Business School & Harvard Psychology, and her Master of Science with distinction from the University of Oxford. Her experience working with leaders and teams from 170+ companies around the world, combined with her subject matter expertise, help our clients make the most informed and effective choices to shape their companies, teams, and individual environments to reach their desired realities.

In all of Lisa’s work, she facilitates solutions grounded in evidence-based methods, supported by her training and research. She has worked with clients from PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Red Bull, Scotiabank, Barclays, among other industry leaders across the globe. Lisa’s goals for all of her clients are for them to gain pragmatic and evidence-based tools that they can make their own to overcome constraints keeping them from their true potential. Her priorities are to identify highly leverage-able insights or interventions that lead to out-sized improvements. 

Lisa’s consulting and facilitation (and continued research at Harvard) focuses on barriers and solutions to organizational change and effectiveness, with specialization in bridging siloed units and identifying what leaders commonly miss when fostering collaborations between teams. Her recent feature article on collaboration in Harvard Business Review (Mar-Apr 2019 issue) was selected as one of the three “Best of the Issue” articles by head HBR editor, Amy Bernstein. Lisa also has research on elite performers’ motivation, resilience, and goal achievement, which has direct impact on her executive and company work.

Among Lisa’s coaching activities, she is and has been an executive coach at Harvard Business School for 7+ years in their senior executive education programs. She works with senior leaders (e.g., chairmen, CEOs, SVPs, founders, GMs, VPs etc.) and "rising star/high potential" leaders around the world. Lisa has also taught internationally and domestically, including at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Lisa is Canadian and based in Boston. Prior to her PhD, she lived in England. Lisa loves trying new things and seeing new places, most recently, flying trapeze and improv.

Karen Clemens

SENIOR EXECUTIVE COACH

Karen brings to our Excilience team her 25 years of experience as an Executive Coach and as an HR executive in the high-tech start-up space coaching and training numerous leaders and teams to succeed in dynamic environments.

Her experience working with early stage, high-tech companies through to maturity has honed her ability to understand the inflection points and patterns of an evolving organization and to support her clients as they navigate these transitions. She is able to simplify and customize her coaching approach so it resonates in nimble and sometimes impatient environments. She adapts quickly and distills her work down to the most impactful, salient elements to deliver results. Beyond have coached numerous leaders and teams to succeed in dynamic environments., [correction: beyond having coached numerous leaders and teams to succeed in dynamic environments,] Karen is an executive coach for the Executive Program at Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management. She also led professional women’s workshops for alumni organizations at Babson College, Simmons College and Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining Excilience, Karen held executive positions with high-growth technology companies including Powersoft, Sybase, Allaire, Macromedia, Watchfire, IBM, Exa, and Sonos where she was responsible for building teams, developing corporate cultures, and helping organizations evolve and grow.

Karen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA and is a graduate of the Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Certification Program. She has completed advanced study in the areas of adult development theory, team coaching and human dynamics and holds several certifications in 360-degree, behaviors and motivators, and communication assessments (Hogan, Disc, EQ1 2.0, Leadership Agility 360)

Karen is American and based out of New Hampshire. She loves kayaking, hiking and traveling with her husband and kids.

Michelle Mielly

GLOBAL TEAM CONSULTANT & TRAINER

Michelle Mielly is an American development anthropologist and interculturalist, active in international education. Her work has consistently focused on issues linked to identity, diversity, and community and explores how identity intersects with different organizational and cultural environments.

Michelle has led multiple teams across geographies to create a global team identity beyond the limitations of national and corporate identities that can inhibit a group growth vision.  It is her goal to engage with the intensity and complexity of global working teams to help them reach collective intelligence through better intercultural understanding and work processes.  Michelle enjoys collaborating with managers and their stakeholders alike to achieve an overarching group identity through various activities linked to Internationalization and the intensification of international identities in technology firms. Her research includes work on organizational diversity, migration, self-initiated expatriates, nomadic entrepreneurs, foreignness and strangeness in organizations, and gender-related questions of leadership & professional mobility.

Michelle also has served  GEM’s Doctoral School since 2013 as academic director for the Switzerland program, the USA program, and the India program. In addition she works closely with Boston University’s pre-Med and Engineering programs in Grenoble as professor of the program’s social science and ethnography courses. Michelle holds Master’s degrees from Université de Grenoble (1991) & Pennsylvania State University (1994), and a PhD from Harvard University (2004).

Located in the French Alps, Michelle lives a multicultural life at work and at home as she married to her French entrepreneur husband and travels to multiple worldwide campuses as a guest lecturer.

Kelly Botto

EXECUTIVE COACH, FACILITATOR (USA)

Kelly brings to our Excilience team over 15 years of experience in human resource, organization and leadership development. She is exceptional at building trusted relationships, understanding client needs and determining solutions that drive individual and organizational performance. In her coaching practice, Kelly is naturally skilled at discovery, listening, analyzing situations and guiding the client to the right solutions. She also uses these skills to design leadership and executive coaching programs

Kelly also brings humor and great energy to her work with clients. Clients describe her as practical, direct, honest, warm and insightful. Kelly leverages these same skills as designs and facilitates distinctive leadership development programs that are experiential and challenges and inspires adult learners. Her programs intentionally do not feel like training, they are more of a facilitated dialogue about important topics that help leaders learn about themselves, others and take action to be more effective.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Anselm College (USA) and is a Hogan certified Practitioner.

Kelly lives in Massachusetts with her husband and three sons. Away from work she enjoys watching her sons’ sporting events, boating on the North Shore and walking her dog Koda.

KAREN BURKE

EXECUTIVE COACH

Karen Burke brings the the Excilience team over 25 years of business experience, executive coaching, facilitating, corporate leadership, and consulting roles. Karen coaches in partnership with corporations to lead their senior teams to greater collaboration and performance.

Karen’s unique background in manufacturing engineering, business management and coaching makes her an effective collaborator with highly skilled leaders including teams in conflict and those experiencing change. As an International Coach Federaton Cerfied Mentor Coach, Karen also advises senior coaches on effective coaching strategies.

Through close listening and strong relationship-building, Karen helps clients identify and implement high-level leadership strategies in order to become agile in their responses to management challenges and changing market realities.

Karen is a high performing team coach in the Harvard Senior Executive Education Program and Harvard University Women’s Leadership Forum. Karen was named Executive Coach of the Year by the International Coach Federation of New England, 2012.

Karen holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. Karen is a Professional Certified Coach. Karen has become certified in many tools including MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), EQ-i (an Emotional Intelligence Type Indicator), LVI (Leadership Versatility Index), Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, Graphic Facilitation and the Hogan Assessment Tools.  Karen is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and is a past Board Member and Past President of the International Coach Federation of New England. Karen is a volunteer coach for the SEAL Future Foundation, which supports active duty and veteran Navy SEALs as they transition to academic and corporate roles.

Karen is a duel citizen of the USA and Canada, speaks French as a second language. Based in Boston, Karen enjoys hiking, international travel and studying art.

Verena Kuhn

EXECUTIVE COACH, O.D. CONSULTANT & FACILITATOR

Verena brings to our Excilience team 15 years of experience. Her PhD in Organisation Her masters in Organizational Psychology, her university degree in intercultural communication and her other various executive coaching certificates mixed with her solid business consulting gained on the field enable Verena to approach organizational and leadership challenges in a very holistic way. Verena gained her business experience driving change in the industrial world across the world as a consultant for Accenture and Porsche Consulting. She also focused some of her expertise in cultural transformation post M&A, developed several methods for lean Culture change and took the time to found 2 companies in Germany and Spain.

As a team coach and facilitator, she developed an extensive experience in leading workshops cross departments to identify and solve problems in collaboration, processes, workflow and governance. She brings her Systemic Coaching approach that is usually favored by German companies for culture change as well as the Co-Active approach. Verena can coach in German, Spanish & English.

Verena holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Darmstadt (Germany), has written a thesis in intercultural training for business -University of Granada (Spain).

Certification: Hypno-systemic Coaching/Therapy (Milton Erickson Institute Heidelberg- Germany), systemic consulting & coaching (ISB Wiesloch- Germany) and co-active coaching institute (Germany)

Stephanie Corne

Stephanie is our Scribe master ! Scribing is the visual communication of the spoken word. It involves focused listening, summarizing, visualizing and drawing; resulting in a content rich visual artefact. Scribing helps our clients engage with experiences at team workshop, business visionning session, improves their memory of the event and facilitates sharing of the experience. Stephanie Corne is a French born multi media artist, living in New York for the last 24 years. Stephanie has 18 years of experience as a graphic facilitation. She has witnessed the digital transformation of the biggest influencers of the world economy, travelling all over the world to help people make sense of their ideas and conversations by putting them into meaningful visuals. Her personal artwork combines abstraction and figurative worlds as she believes the too co-exist. It is that ability to sort out the two that enables her client’s benefit from her skills to extract the essence of their collaborative work during corporate events. OPERATIONS MANAGER


Margaux joined the Excilience team to manage operational, administrative and financial activities. Passionate about human dynamics, she shares her fresh eyes about coaching with our team. 

Before joining Excilience, Margaux had various fulfilling working experiences focused on shifting the way people see their realities. She worked for 4 years in a theater, managing communication and public relations for a city in the French Alps. After that, she worked for a major sport retailer to develop the horse-riding brand. And finally, Margaux joined the automotive industry to work on customer relations.

Margaux is a very curious and open-minded person. She can adapt herself in every situation. She has a Masters in Communication and Project Development (Grenoble University/ Avignon University (France). 

Margaux is passionate about horseback riding and will be shaping a team facilitation approach with horses one day. She loves nature and animals.

Hélène Derieux

SENIOR ANALYST & LEARNING ARCHITECT


Hélène is collaborating with Excilience since 2017 and has previously spent 3 years in consulting around Human Dynamics at ACCENTURE. Her other professional experiences were in the field of education, religious organizations, and NGO-representation at the UNO. She has studied and worked in Paris, London, Berlin and Vienna. She speaks five languages. Her academic background involves management, philosophy, theology, and ancient music. She holds three master’s degrees, and is an alumnus of the ESCP Europe business school, Paris Sorbonne University, the City University of London, and the University of Vienna. She supports Excilience in analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative), and developing training content.

Jade Miller

SURVEY LEAD


Jade is working for Excilience since 2017. She is in charge of all implementing and running our Survey (360, pulse survey, leadership survey). Jade is also supporting Diane Ridon in all the administrative tasks to make sure we provide the best service to our client.

Jade is from Madagascar.
